Therapy with me is warm, supportive, and human. I use humour, compassion, and evidence-based approaches to help you feel at ease while exploring meaningful change. This is a space where you can be real, understood, and gently challenged when it helps your growth.

I work with women and young women through anxiety, ADHD and autism, attachment patterns, and self-worth difficulties. With over seven years of clinical experience in NHS and private settings, I focus on helping you understand what feels overwhelming now and the patterns that sit beneath it. Just as plants need the right conditions to grow, therapy offers a steady environment where you can develop confidence, emotional regulation, and greater trust in yourself.

I tailor therapy to you rather than fitting you into a model. I draw from CBT, REBT, psychodynamic thinking and person-centred practice, depending on what you need at each stage. A core part of the work is Unconditional Self-Acceptance, learning to loosen harsh self-criticism so you can relate to yourself with more kindness, clarity and emotional confidence.

In sessions we pay attention to patterns, nervous-system responses, core beliefs and the younger parts of you that might still be holding fear or pressure. The aim is always understanding, not blame. Although therapy is centred on talking, I sometimes integrate aromatherapy or simple grounding and mindfulness practices to help you settle, regulate and reconnect with your body. These small rituals help make the room feel calm, contained and safe. We explore what is happening in your life right now as well as the deeper roots beneath it, working toward steadiness, clarity and emotional resilience.

What I Can Help With

I support women and young women through the emotional challenges that shape identity, relationships and everyday life. Whether you’re coping with anxiety, ADHD or autism, relationship stress, low self-esteem or major transitions like perimenopause or motherhood, you will find a space here where you can feel seen, understood and supported.

Whatever you bring, we explore it at your pace in a way that feels safe, validating and empowering.

Common themes include anxiety and emotional overwhelm, neurodivergence, self-criticism and body image, attachment patterns, relationship difficulties and the impact of abuse. I also work with grief and loss, fertility or reproductive challenges, perimenopause and menopause, and the lasting influence of childhood experiences on who you are today.

Therapy is a courageous step. Whatever you have lived through, you deserve a space where you are met with compassion, honesty and understanding. I offer that to women and young women who are ready for support that feels steady and human rather than clinical or performative. At Thrive, growth isn’t about perfection. It is about creating the conditions that allow you to flourish. Like a plant, you do not need fixing; you need the right environment, nourishment and support to grow in your own way. Therapy offers that space: grounded, nurturing and responsive to your emotional needs.

When you feel ready, reach out. We begin at your pace and move toward a steady, sustainable kind of growth that supports confidence, regulation and genuine thriving.

More About Me

Therapist

Katie Snow (Dip. Counselling PNCPS Acc.)

Becoming a therapist wasn’t something I mapped out. It came from lived experience. My work grew out of survival, healing and the slow process of rebuilding myself after leaving an abusive relationship. Beginning therapy changed everything for me. It showed me how powerful it is to sit with someone who really listens, someone who helps you find your voice again when life has taken it from you. That experience reshaped my direction. I realised that healing isn’t about fixing yourself; it is about understanding, choice and reclaiming your sense of self. That belief has shaped Thrive and my conviction that every woman deserves a space where she feels safe enough to grow in her own way.

Over time I trained professionally and developed a special interest in helping women feel more confident, connected and empowered. I am real in the room. I don’t hide behind a façade. Therapy with me is a conversation: warm, collaborative and gently challenging when you need it. My aim is to help you reconnect with yourself, rebuild self-worth and learn to thrive again on your own terms.

When I am not working, I am usually tending to my jungle of houseplants or studying forensic psychology. Both keep me curious about what helps people grow through even the toughest conditions. I also regularly lift heavy weights because my nervous system likes it, even when the rest of me doesn’t.
